Our story

Two people.
One glen.

We're Alasdair and Fiona Ross. In 2015 we bought a run-down hill farm in Glen Arroch with three derelict stone steadings on it, and spent the best part of a year rebuilding them into the cabins that are here today.

Neither of us had done anything like it before-Alasdair was a joiner, Fiona worked in the NHS-but we wanted to build something we'd actually want to stay in ourselves: warm, honest, well made, and left alone by the outside world for a few days. A decade on, we still change the linen, light the first fire and leave the welcome hamper ourselves.

What matters to us

How we look after the glen

Slow down

No check-out times before 10am, no turnaround rush. We'd rather you left properly rested than caught an earlier train.

Tread lightly

Wood is sourced from our own land, hot water comes from an air-source pump, and the burn is left exactly as we found it.

Genuine welcome

We're a five-minute walk away, not a call centre. If something's not right, one of us will come and sort it.

Come and see the glen for yourself

Have a look at the three cabins, or send us a message if you'd like some help choosing.
